Oklahoma Christmas Lights

November 30 – Dec. 2, 2009 3 days $298.00pp

Day 1: Traveling south into Oklahoma, we will make our first stop at Guthrie
for a trolley tour of the historical area and enjoy an included Christmas buffet
at Granny Had One! We will then proceed to Chickasha where we will meet
a step on guide for a behind the scenes tour of the amazing light display. We
will visit the park during the daytime to see the structural set-up. Next we will
travel to one of the workshops where the inner workings of creating the displays
will be demonstrated. After checking in at the motel and dinner on your own,
we will return to the park to see the amazing Festival of Lights lit up in all their
glory. We will definitely ooh and ahh at this amazing display of over 3 million
lights! Overnight will be in Chickasha.

Day 2: Our first stop this morning will be in Norman at the National
Weather Service for a tour of the facility. We have always wondered how it all
worked and now we will be able to see and ask questions. On our way into OKC
we will make a quick stop at North Pole City. A wonderful shop to get you in
the Christmas spirit. A Unique stop is in store for us as we visit the World
Organization of China Painters Museum. An exquisite collection of hand
painted china is on display. Next will be the Harn Homestead and a tour of
the Victorian home. We will enjoy a setting from years gone by and see how they
celebrated Christmas the Victorian way with hand crafted ornaments. By
evening we will be ready to view the Holiday Lights Spectacular in Midwest
City. Barnes Regional Park is transformed into a twinkling winter wonderland
with over one million lights, featuring 80 dazzling displays. Overnight will be in
OKC area.

Day 3: This morning we will head home with visions of lights dancing in our
heads. An inspiring trip to get us in the Christmas spirit! We should arrive back
in Yoder mid-day.
