HAWAIIAN HOLIDAYFOUR ISLAND TOUR (Oahu, Kauai, Hawaii, Maui) February 12 – 23, 2010 12 Days $3,794.00 We’ll fly to the Islands to enjoy the warm temperatures, white sandy beaches, and all the romance of the Islands. We include in the price and itinerary many of the optional excursions, so we can do them as a group and you will not be left with lots of options to find on your own. Includes airfare from Wichita, trip insurance, 10 nights lodging, group attractions, motorcoach or minibus services and the inter-island airfare. Read through the itinerary and join us on this special tour. A Hawaiian Holiday indeed!!!! Day 1:This morning we head to Wichita for our early morning departure. Arriving in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, we will receive our traditional lei greeting welcoming you to the Islands. Our motorcoach will be waiting to take us on a narrated scenic drive past downtown Honolulu into the heart of Waikiki for our 3 night stay. Day 2: We’ll enjoy an included “welcome to the islands” breakfast on the famous Waikiki Beach before heading to the Dole Pineapple Plantation where we will see the beautiful grounds and how pineapple are grown. The next stop will be the Polynesian Cultural Center. The center is quite large and we can stroll through authentic native villages at our leisure. Later we’ll see an IMAX theater presentation and enjoy an included luau for our evening meal. The highlight of the evening will be a performance in the outdoor theater Day 3:This morning we include a great sightseeing tour of Honolulu, which includes Pearl Harbor. We will continue on with a city tour of the capital, landmarks, and more. We will return to our hotel by mid-afternoon for time on your own to explore the city and possibly the beach which is within walking distance to our hotel. Day 4: This morning our flight will take us to the Big Island of Hawaii arriving in Hilo, county seat of the island of Hawaii. We will then head up the slopes of Mauna Loa into Hawaii Volcano National Park, home of the only “drive-in” volcano in the world. Upon our return to Hilo, we will stop at the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Farm and a local orchid farm. Overnight in Hilo. Day 5: We will be leaving Hilo to visit the Tsunami Museum. Then relax and enjoy the lush tropical countryside of the Hamakua Coast. Once the largest sugar plantation in Hawaii, it’s now the birthplace of diversified agriculture. Other visits include Akaka Falls and a vanilla vineyard. At the vineyard we will learn just how vanilla is grown and hand pollinated!! We will also enjoy an included vanilla luncheon experience. Tonight we will be staying in Kona Town. Day 6: This morning is our short flight to Kauai, the “Garden Isle”. Upon arrival, we will cruise up the scenic Wailua River to the beautiful Fern Grotto and listen to the Hawaiian Wedding Song. It’s the most popular wedding site in all Hawaii. Lihue for 2 nights. Day 7: Today we explore the southern coast of Kauai as we make our way to Waimea Canyon, referred to as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”. Other sights for today include Spouting Horn, Kauai Coffee Plantation, and possibly other stops along the way, time permitting. Day 8:We say goodbye to the “Garden Island” as we make the short flight to Maui, our 4th Island. We will start our tour on Maui at the Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum to learn about the sugar industry and see the plantation equipment. Next we will stop at the Maui Tropical Plantation to enjoy a narrated tram ride through Hawaii’s most popular tropical fruits and flowers. We will then continue on to our beachside resort. Lahaina for 3 nights. Day 9:This is a day of leisure. Maybe a day to relax and lay on the beach sounds good by now. It’s your day to kick back, enjoy and relax. You may want to take a submersible ride, whale watch, rent a car and drive the coast to Hana or go snorkeling. Another option would be to take the trolley as your transportation to and from Lahaina Town where you can enjoy the day exploring Hawaii’s first seat of Royalty. The resort has a concierge to help with the day. Day 10: Our tour today, begins with a beautiful drive up the mountain Haleakala. This dormant volcano stands more than 10,000 feet above sea level. One of our stops will be at a flower farm where a rare flower is grown. Following lunch, we will make a stop at the Iao Needle Monument in the valley. This evening we will enjoy an included luau at our resort. Day 11:This morning we head to the Maui Ocean Center which is voted Hawaii’s top rated family attraction. Here we can explore Hawaii’s underwater world. Late afternoon, we will have to bid the Islands a farewell, after an excellent, relaxing vacation with so many sights and laid back atmosphere with the Islanders. We’ll board our flight this evening for our overnight return flight to the mainland. Day 12: Transfer back to Yoder via our motorcoach.
