Day 1: Today we fly into LaGuardia Airport in New York, where we transfer to the Millennium Broadway Hotel and check-in for 4 nights. All the excitement of Times Square and the Broadway District are right outside our doorstep. Good Morning America is a half-block up the street! This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. After dinner, the evening is free to explore this vibrant area that never sleeps. (D)
Day 2: This morning we depart on our tour of New York’s lower Manhattan. This includes neighborhoods such as Little Italy, SoHo, Greenwich Village, and the Financial District. This afternoon we visit the 9/11 museum which has a collection of artifacts, stories, photos, videos, and other materials that have shaped our history. Tonight our first show is the Broadway sensation, Come from Away. This stirring and inspiring musical takes you to the small town of Newfoundland that welcomed 7,000 stranded travelers on 9/11.
Day 3: This morning we start at the Empire State Building for a bird’s eye view of the Big Apple. Then we pick up our step-on guide for the Brooklyn Pizza Tour. This tour covers Brooklyn and pizza, from one end to the other. It highlights famous neighborhoods, landmarks, famous movie locations, and the most spectacular view of the Brooklyn Bridge. We have some time to explore Coney Island and the famous boardwalk. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city. Perhaps you want to do some shopping or take in an additional Broadway show, visit St Patrick’s Cathedral or just wander around this dynamic section of Manhattan! (L)
Day 4: This morning we are off to Battery Park where we catch a ferry to Liberty Island and visit the Statue of Liberty and the new Statue of Liberty Museum. The ferry also takes us to the historic Ellis Island where many immigrants entered this country. Tonight, we are in for a real treat as we see the highly acclaimed musical Hamilton, the story of American founding father, Alexander Hamilton.
Day 5: This morning you might want to walk to the TODAY Show plaza or watch through the windows of Good Morning America. A local step-on-guide joins us later this morning for a tour of the upper east and west sides. We see Fifth Avenue, Radio City Music Hall, take a stroll through Central Park, and more. This afternoon, we return to LaGuardia airport for our flight home.
