Explore the Eastern Caribbean for seven days, beginning with Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, where you can sip a cold cocktail, eat fish tacos, and work on your tan along the Atlantic’s edge. Then you’re off to St. Thomas with its duty-free shopping, striking blue water, and beaches. Next is the British Virgin Islands with its velvety white sand and Road Town culture. Then your off to the Dominican Republic before returning home!

Day 1: Today we transfer to the airport for our flight to Miami to settle into our cabins aboard the Norwegian Encore for the next seven nights. We spend our evening discovering all the Encore has to offer as we set sail on our exciting cruise through the Caribbean! (D)

Day 2: Get ready to spend a full day at Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian Cruise Line’s idyllic island paradise reserved just for cruise guests. Stroll along the soft, white-sand beaches and enjoy the many activities NCL has to offer. Optional activities include snorkeling with sea turtles and colorful fish in the warm turquoise waters, swimming with stingrays or the famous Bahamian pigs, or gliding along the coastline in a kayak. (B, L, D)

Day 3: Today we experience life at sea and take advantage of the countless opportunities on board for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The Tony Award-winning Kinky Boots is a must-see Broadway hit, and The Choir of Man will have you singing along to classic rock hits. Be sure to taste your way through some of the nearly two dozen lounges and restaurants! Grab a pint at The District Brew House, enjoy entertaining Japanese cuisine at Teppanyaki, or dine on the freshest seafood at Ocean Blue! (B, L, D)

Day 4: The town of Charlotte Amalie on St Thomas has one of the most breathtaking harbors in the world. Once home to pirates of long ago, today visitors find treasures of a different kind, for now beautiful beaches and bountiful duty-free shopping are truly its claim to fame. Snorkel over a shipwreck, visit one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world, or cruise to St. John to explore the island on one of the many optional shore excursions available during our time in St. Thomas! (B, L, D)

Day 5: Discovered by Christopher Columbus himself in 1493, the exotic, peaceful island of Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands, is home to both towering mahogany trees and white-sand beaches. The region offers a challenging hike that extends 1,780 feet up Sage Mountain for great birdwatching and breathtaking views of Tortola and neighboring islands. Consider a visit to a local organic farm and artists’ studio, or a scenic drive through Road Town, or swimming in The Baths on Virgin Gorda. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Puerto Plata is the ninth largest city in the Dominican Republic and the capital of the province of Puerto Plata. For spectacular city views, take a ride up the Pico Isabel de Torres mountain which stands over 2,600 feet high. History buff? Visit Fortaleza San Felipe, which was built in the 16th century and served as a prison under the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo. Or head to the Amber Museum, a museum filled with a unique collection of valuable Dominican amber which is semiprecious tree sap that has hardened for millions of years capturing many fossils of plant and insect life. Optional excursions include dolphin, sea lion, and shark encounters; a tour of Puerto Plata’s cultural and historical landmarks; a countryside safari; and more! (B, L, D)

Day 7: Enjoy another day cruising the Caribbean waters and taking advantage of the ship’s amenities. Attend a show, get pampered at the spa, or try your luck at the casino! (B, L, D)

Day 8: We disembark the ship in Miami this morning and transfer to the airport for our flight home. (B)
