RESERVATIONS: should be made as soon as possible. Your seat is reserved when the registration form and the deposit for each person is received. Most tours require a $100 deposit per person; tours with flights require more. Please refer to the catalog for details. Your deposit will be applied to the final payment of the tour. About 6 weeks before the tour departs, you will receive the addresses and phone numbers of the hotels, a list of passengers, an itinerary, and request for final payment.
CANCELLATIONS: A full refund will be given for cancellations made 35 days prior to departure on most tours. For tours with flights, cancellations must be received 65 days prior to departure to receive a refund. Certain tours may require different cancellation dates, please refer to the tour details in the catalog. For cancellations made after the cut-off date or for early departure during a tour, refunds will be made based on what Heritage Tours can recover from hotels, transportation, and attractions
TRAVEL PROTECTION: We encourage you to purchase a travel protection plan. Some policies require purchase within 14 days of your deposit. You may check with an insurance company of your choice or click HERE for more information.
LODGING: We select clean, moderately-priced accommodations. Our prices are based on two people in a room. Those who stay three or four to a room will be given a discount. For one person in a hotel room, there is an additional supplement. Travelling singly does not guarantee a seat by yourself on the motorcoach.
HANDICAPPED PERSONS are always welcome aboard, but MUST be accompanied by a companion. If medication is required, be sure to bring along a sufficient amount for the number of tour days.
LODGING BEFORE & AFTER THE TOUR: The closest hotels are in Hutchinson, KS.
DEPARTURE and return point for all tours is Yoder, Kansas. If you wish to make prior arrangements for a pick-up stop along the route, we will certainly try and work with you.
DOCUMENTS: Passports are required for all travel outside the United States, including Canada.
TOUR PRICE INCLUDES transportation, lodging, admission to planned attractions, luggage handling at hotels, tips for step-on guides, and stated meals.
TOUR PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE items of a personal nature, meals (unless stated in the catalog), attractions which you visit on your own, and tips to your driver or tour director.
MEALS: All of our meal stops are prearranged. Included meals are indicated by a B, L or D at the end of each day in the catergory description. B means breakfast is included, L is for lunch and D is for dinner (evening meal).
LUGGAGE: Each passenger is allowed one large piece of luggage, not to exceed 50 lbs, which will be handled for you at most of the hotels. You will be responsible to handle your carry-on luggage. At airports you will be responsible for all of your luggage.
CLOTHING: Keep it casual. Comfortable walking shoes are very important for our sightseeing activities. Dress clothes are not necessary unless specified in the plans. Layered clothing makes it easy to adjust to varying temperatures. A rain poncho, light raincoat, or umbrella are always advisable. Remember to travel light; don’t over pack.
TIPPING: Your tour director will take care of tipping the porters, included meal wait-staff, and step-on guides. If you wish to tip your driver or tour director for a job well done, you many present it on an individual basis.
MOTORCOACHES: We use modern coaches which are clean, temperature controlled, equipped with a restroom, public address system, free Wi-Fi, electrical outlets, and reclining seats designed for your comfort. Ample rest stops are made. Seats are not reserved, but filled on a first come, first served basis. In order to give everyone a variety of views and have the opportunity of meeting other tour members, we rotate seats on a predetermined basis. We start our day with a brief thought for the day and prayer. We encourage you to share readings, poems, songs, jokes, or anything else with the group, which helps make our tours an enjoyable experience. For passenger safety and comfort, smoking, firearms, and open containers of alcohol are not allowed on the motorcoach.
PARKING is available behind our office and in the lot across the alley.
RESPONSIBILITY: Heritage Tours and its employees accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, delay, or injury to persons or property. We reserve the right to increase or decrease the fares if the hotels, attractions, or the carriers do so. If unforeseen changes become necessary or improvements can be made, we reserve the right to change or modify any part of the tour. In case any show or event has to be cancelled, we attempt to substitute something of equal or better value.
