Grapevine: Christmas Capital of Texas®
December 8-11, 2026

Day 1: Today we make our way to the Christmas Capital of Texas, Grapevine. Discover the magic of the Gaylord Texan Resort for our 3 night stay. This resort hotel is a breathtaking, 4.5-acre indoor oasis that brings the spirit of Texas to life, offering a massive, self-contained, luxury resort experience overlooking Lake Grapevine. It is very similar to its sister property, Gaylord Opryland Hotel, that we use for our Nashville tour. Upon arrival, experience the Magic of ICE! Wander through breathtaking ice sculptures, larger‑than‑life scenes from your favorite Christmas stories and dazzling frozen landscapes—all hand‑crafted from millions of pounds of colorful ice. This evening is for you to enjoy at our beautiful resort. Stroll through breathtaking world of soaring glass atriums and lush indoor gardens. (B, L)
Day 2: Step into a holiday wonderland in the Christmas Capital of Texas, where twinkling lights, nostalgic charm, and unforgettable family moments fill every corner of historic Grapevine. Rise above Grapevine and take in sweeping 360‑degree views of the historic district, shimmering Grapevine Lake, and the vibrant heart of North Texas at the Observation Tower. Next we check out the Christmas Market. Wander through charming vendor booths offering handcrafted gifts, seasonal treats, and unique treasures. This afternoon we sip, swirl, and savor our way through a wine‑tasting experience in the heart of Grapevine, TX—the Wine Capital of Texas. Back at our resort, you might enjoy relaxing on one of the many benches in the atrium and listen to the waterfalls. (B, L)
Day 3: Step into history with our JFK Experience with a local guide. Our first stop is at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. The Museum, located within the former Texas School Book Depository building, chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. We then visit places like the JFK Memorial Plaza, learn stories of eyewitness accounts, discover the details of what was going on in the School Book Depository, in Dealey Plaza, on the Grassy Knoll, and in the presidential motorcade. We also see the Texas Theatre where Oswald was arrested and the Oswald rooming house. Explore the facts and recount the incredible coincidences and timings that culminated in the event that shocked the world. This is a very memorable experience. Back in Grapevine, step into a night of mystery, laughter, and unforgettable fun at the Texas Star Dinner Theatre. Enjoy a delicious chef‑prepared dinner while you become part of the action. This day is a highlight in the shared memories of travelers. (B, L, D)
Day 4: We leave Texas behind as we make our way home reliving Grapevine and some of the most magical moments of the season! We made a stop in Oklahoma City for lunch and to browse the North Pole, the largest Christmas store in Oklahoma. (B, L)
