Day 1: Montana – Big Sky. From breathtaking mountains and crystal‑clear rivers, we will discover this together as we get acquainted with our new traveling friends.

Day 2: Enjoy the wonderful scenery as we make our way to southeastern Montana. Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument memorializes the site of the battle which took place in 1876 between the United States Seventh Cavalry Regiment led by Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer, and the Sioux and Cheyenne under the political and spiritual leadership of Sitting Bull. Continuing north, we make our way to Billings, MT for our overnight. (B)

Day 3: Arriving in Great Falls, Montana, we walk in the footsteps of Lewis & Clark at the National Historic Trail Center. Our journey begins as we re-live the 1804-06 Lewis and Clark Expedition's 8,000-mile journey across the west. We see some of the Great Falls they had to portage around on the Missouri River. Then we visit the CM Russell Museum. Charlie Russell documented the West that was vanishing before his eyes, telling the story as no artist had before. It’s a true and amazing collection from one of the west’s greatest artists. Overnight in Great Falls. (B, L)

Day 4: Step into a place where history rises from the prairie and stories echo across the cliffs. First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park—one of the largest and best-preserved buffalo jump sites in North America—invites us to experience the ingenuity, culture, and spirit of the Indigenous peoples who shaped this land for thousands of years. A park ranger will join us. Driving north to Browning, MT, unveils a dramatic transition from the vast, open rolling plains of the Cascade County area into the awe-inspiring, jagged peaks of the Rocky Mountains. The landscape shifts from agricultural land to the sweeping, windswept vistas of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, characterized by dramatic scenery and immense, cloud-filled "Big Sky" views as one nears Glacier National Park. (B, D)

Day 5: Today, it’s on to one of our country’s most spectacular National Parks, Glacier. Known as the Crown of the Continent, Glacier National Park encompasses more than one million acres of terrain with glacial-carved mountain peaks and valleys to cascading waterfalls. Morning finds us in an area called Many Glaciers where we will enjoy a cruise across the crystal‑clear waters of Swiftcurrent Lake and experience the park from its most breathtaking angle. After lunch, we board the famous Red Jammer Vintage Tour Bus to discover more of the park! We travel the “Going to the Sun Road,” one of the outstanding scenic roadways in the world. See awesome views of snow-capped, sculpted peaks, crystal clear glacier-made lakes, and turbulent rivers. We travel through the park from Rising Sun, across Logan Pass, to Lake McDonald on this fully narrated tour with picture stops. We overnight in Kalispell MT for the next two nights. (B, L)

Day 6: Glide effortlessly over towering pines, sparkling lakes, and the breathtaking peaks of Montana with a scenic Whitefish gondola ride. This afternoon, sit back, breathe in the mountain air, and let the river carry us through unforgettable landscapes as Glacier Guides offers gentle, scenic rafting trip while enjoying Montana’s pristine rivers. After the float, we can unwind with a delicious, chef‑prepared riverside dinner. (B, D)

Day 7: We depart this morning for a tour of the Smokejumpers Base Aerial Fire Depot. U.S. Forest Service smokejumpers tell first-hand stories of firefighting and smoke jumping. Then we head to Helena for a 2-night stay. Tonight, we travel back in time via horse-drawn wagons through high mountain forests to enjoy a Montana cowboy-style evening meal and entertainment. (B, D)

Day 8: Step aboard the Last Chance Trolley and experience Helena like never before!
Discover the rich history, hidden stories, and iconic landmarks of Montana’s capital city on a fun, narrated ride through the heart of Helena. For over a century, the Gates of the Mountains Boat Tour has carried explorers, families, and nature lovers into a landscape so breathtaking that Lewis and Clark named it themselves. Watch the canyon “open” before your eyes, spot wildlife along the shore, and experience the serenity of the Missouri River as history and scenery come alive around you. (B, L)

Day 9: Journey through the “Richest Hill on Earth” as our expert guides bring Butte’s mining legacy, colorful characters, and breathtaking architecture to life. This tour includes a stop at the Berkley Mine, a former open-pit copper mine over 1.5 miles wide and filled with heavily acidic water. After checking into our hotel, we visit the Historic Billings Depot. This evening, we are entertained with stories and history of the area while enjoying a delicious dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 10: Today we travel south through Wyoming. Overnight is in the Denver area. (B)

Day 11: We say good-bye to the mountains as we reminisce about all the natural beauty and adventure we experienced in Big Sky Montana. (B)

Welcome to Montana, the Last Best Place—where the sky stretches endlessly and the landscapes stir something deep within. From the rugged peaks of the Rocky Mountains to the rolling plains that whisper tales of the Old West. At the heart of this majestic state lies Glacier National Park, a crown jewel of the American wilderness. Carved by ancient ice rivers, Glacier boasts alpine meadows, and crystal-clear lakes.
