Day 1: Excitement builds as we set off for our adventure on Route 66, “The Mother Road”. By afternoon, we make it to Mid-Point in Adrian TX where we left off. We will continue to Tucumcari NM, for our first night. (L)

Day 2: Our first stop is at the Route 66 Auto Museum in Santa Rosa NM. Then continuing to Albuquerque for lunch at the 66 Diner. A step on guide will join us for a tour down Route 66 and all the iconic places. This evening we step into a living legend along old Route 66, the Historic El Rancho Hotel in Gallup NM. This landmark that has welcomed film stars, dignitaries, and travelers since 1937. We sleep inside the uniquely decorated rooms, each named after the Hollywood icons who once stayed here. (B, L, D)

Day 3: This morning we will be making some stops along the way, including Jack Rabbit Trading Post. Our midday stop is the La Posada Hotel, the final and grandest of the Fred Harvey Company’s railway resort hotels. We will dine inside the hotel in the acclaimed Turquoise Room. After lunch, we will tour this masterpiece of 1930’s architecture. Standing on the corner of Winslow Arizona is where we find ourselves next. We end our day in Williams AZ. (B, L)

Day 4: We have time to explore Williams this morning with all the iconic Route 66 shops and stores. Then we are off the interstate exploring the old Mother Road, which takes us to Seligman AZ — “The Town That Saved Route 66”. This is the birthplace of the Route 66 revival, led by barber and local hero Angel Delgadillo. We continue on the historic road, making stops along the way, arriving in Kingman. Our overnight will be in Needles CA. (B)

Day 5: Backtracking a bit, we head up to Oatman AZ, nestled along historic Route 66. Perched high in the Black Mountains, Oatman is a rugged relic of gold‑rush glory. Wild burros wander freely, and weathered storefronts glow under the desert sun. Step inside the historic Oatman Hotel Restaurant, a building steeped in gold‑rush history and Hollywood lore. Weathered beams, vintage photographs, and the echoes of miners and movie stars create a one‑of‑a‑kind dining backdrop. After saying goodbye to the wild burros, we make our way with a few stops to our hotel on the outskirts of Los Angeles for the next two nights. (B, L)
Day 6: Today is our day to make it to the end of the road, Santa Monica Pier!! You will have time to explore the Pier and take pictures at the famous End of the Road 66 sign. After lunch, we backtrack to San Bernardino, making a few more stops before going back to our hotel. (B)

Day 7: Heading back, we continue our sightseeing adventure on Route 66. With its inviting Western atmosphere, Wagon Wheel Restaurant stands as one of Needles’ most cherished Route 66 stops. Overnight will be in Flagstaff AZ. (B, L)

Day 8: Just minutes off America’s Mother Road, Meteor Crater invites us to witness one of the world’s best‑preserved meteor impact sites. We will stand on the edge of a massive crater nearly a mile wide, explore interactive exhibits, and experience the awe of a cosmic event that reshaped the Arizona landscape. Once a rest stop for Mother Road adventurers, the Painted Desert Inn now stands as a beautifully preserved landmark where we will explore vibrant murals, stunning desert vistas, and the rich cultural history of Petrified Forest National Park. Then it’s on to Santa Rosa NM for the night. (B, L)

Day 9: Today we are off the Mother Road, heading home with memories of the iconic Route 66. (B).
