Upper Mississippi River Cruise
June 15-19, 2026

“Up a Lazy River,” this song captures the mellow experience of riding a riverboat, which is one of the most potent anti-stress remedies around. The ride is smooth, the shores are always in sight, and the experience is relaxing. Wooded islands dot the river, eagles fly overhead, and fishermen and sun-lovers drift by in small boats. Our elegant riverboat meanders down the waters of the Mississippi River.
Day 1: The Mighty Mississippi River beckons us! While getting acquainted, we travel through farmlands and over hills to our overnight stay in eastern Iowa.
Day 2: Arguably, one of the most famous cornfields in the world can be found at the iconic Field of Dreams Movie Site. Take a tour of the Farmhouse, have a catch, sit on the bleachers, and chat with a ghost player. After lunch we visit the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. A Smithsonian Affiliate is a part aquarium, part museum, and part science center telling the story of America’s Rivers. After checking into our hotel in Dubuque, we enjoy a Historic Progressive Dinner. Enjoy a guided tour of Dubuque’s rich history and a delicious course at each location, and we didn’t forget the dessert. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Time to board the Celebration Belle and join our Captain and Crew for a day on the Mighty Mississippi River. Become Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn for the day! We start at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin cruising north to La Crosse WI. Your day can be what you make of it, a learning experience or simply a leisurely cruise up the Mississippi. Come hungry, no cruise would be complete without food! Our chefs stay busy all day long preparing 2 fresh meals right aboard the boat. Overnight at a hotel in La Crosse WI. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Today we continue upstream aboard the Celebration Belle. There are 2 observation decks to sit in and enjoy the views. Don’t forget your camera! Live Entertainment? Yes! We have the best of the best when it comes to entertainment! Once again you will receive delicious meals prepared by the chef and crew. We cruise upriver to Red Wing Minnesota where we bid farewell to our cruise. Our overnight is in Clear Lake IA. (B, L, D)
Day 5: What fun we experienced on the Mighty Mississippi. We take with us fond memories of days gone by and look forward to making new memories of our own as we head home. (B, L)
